What RC components are needed for the AeroQuad?

The AeroQuad code was specifically built for the Spektrum DX7 transmitter and the Spektrum AR6100 and AR6200 receivers.

If you are using the Spektrum DX6i transmitter, you will need to modify the receiver channel order by doing the following: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=11484359&postcount=755.

It is also possible to use a Futaba and Hitec transmitter and receiver. Again, the receiver channel order will need to be modified with the info found at: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=11255380&postcount=498

How do I wire my RC receiver to my Arduino?

Use servo extension cables to wire the pins from your receiver to the Arduino:

JST connector for power to receiver:

Since only the signal pin is needed for each receiver output, just connect the servo extension connectors to those pins. Use a separate JST connector for power and ground.

How do I mount my Sparkfun 5DOF IMU and IDG300 breakout board to a protoshield?

You will need a row of header pins to solder into the holes of the IMU and IDG300 boards. You can then use either a small breadboard or use one of the recommended prototype shields and solder the sensors directly to the shield.

How can I connect 4 ESC's to one battery?

This is probably the best way to do it: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1471478

Alternatives are to use a barrier strip.
